Makkah and Madinah

Both Makkah and Madinah are the holiest cities of Muslims but most visiting Muslims do not even begin to understand the superior sacredness of these cities. Both the cities were dearest and near to heart to the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAWW because one of the cities (Makkah) is the one in which He SAWW was born and the other (Madinah) was the one in which He SAWW migrated. Both Makkah and Madina are special in their own ways and are considered to be sacred because of the numerous miracles and virtues due to their sacredness. Makkah is the holy city about which Allah Almighty says:

“Verily the first house appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah, full of blessings and guidance for Al-Ameen. In it are manifest signs, the Maqaam of Ibraaheem, whosoever enters it he attains security”
